Hazardous locations/ area refer to a place where contains of flammable gas, vapor, VOCs( volatile organic chemicals),dusts, powder. In industry plants like chemical process plant, oil, natural gas, petroleum, offshore platform, refinery, coal mine, handling of large quantities of flammable liquids, dust, gas creates a risk of leaks. Many other area would also have a dangerous concentration of flammable substances during process upsets, equipment deterioration or maintenance, or during an incident.
